Start by doing what is necessary; then do what is possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
St. Francis of Assisi
The JOY Foundation is a tax exempt, non-profit organization that exists to facilitate and promote Catholic faith and social teachings by supporting cultural initiatives that communicate Christ, and invite engagement from people of every faith.
JOY Projects include the 50 Million Names Project, Catholic Creatives Salon, Jubilate Deo Catholic Youth Choir, Sursum Corda Sacred Polyphony Ensemble, Small Beginnings and the Northeast Kansas Chesterton Society. JOY also supports the Most Pure Heart of Mary Schola Cantorum, Lawrence Community Shelter, A Simple House, School of Love, the Apostles of the Interior Life, and other related non-profit projects. See our Projects and Work-in-Progress pages for more information about how JOY funds are used.
With small donations from interested friends, JOY creates its own projects and supports the work of others under its umbrella. We are currently exploring the possibility of supporting a regional chapter of the Catholic Writers Guild.
JOY finally has received its official IRS letter of determination! After three years operating in good faith as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a very low budget, we submitted a detailed history to show them in our 1023 application. In compliance with the law about these things, our letter, 1023 application and all those financial records are to be made available to anyone who wants to see them – just ask!
Motherheart Press is a project of the Joy Foundation. To support Joy’s Catholic Cultural Initiatives, Motherheart works are offered by their authors for distribution on a freewill donation basis.

Resources are being offered here to support Catholic families, Catholic artists, and Catholic educators.
